FBC Update 5.29.20

Hello FBC,

Can you believe it has been 10 weeks since we have had services as usual here on campus? This season of upheaval has been both challenging and encouraging. As we move forward to a new normal, we will be taking both the challenging and encouraging info into consideration.

Some of the challenges for moving forward are how to appropriately gather together with so many “opinions” concerning what is appropriate. How to continue to stay together while 6’ apart. Caring for our body as we move to carry out the priorities of the church in the areas of Worship/Fellowship, Evangelism/Ministry and Discipleship/Membership.

We will prioritize continuing a digital presence in the areas we are currently making inroads like, Sunday Service, Zoom Bible Studies and Prayer meeting. As technology is learned we may extend this venue for connectivity to other areas as well.

Encouraging elements from this time are numerous also. Your desire to gather on campus is very exciting. Your continued commitment to the financial support of FBC is a blessing. Your patience as we prudently begin to regather together is humbling. Your support of local front line workers glorifies our great God. Way to go Church!

We will continue to make plans a few weeks out. For the next 3 Sundays we will continue to ask that you sign-up with the Church office (chris@fbcwashmo.com) if you are interested in attending a service on campus. This allows us to assign seating, coordinate visitors and prepare for arrival and dismissal accordingly. Service times will be at 9am and 10:30am.

Restrooms, changing tables, and mom’s room are all available. Please bring your own coffee as we are not providing it at this time. We will continue to monitor interest and potentially add a 3rd service if needed. If everybody from FBC signed up this week, we would be able to accommodate all with guests included. Last week we had 3 new visitors on campus and many more attending the live-stream. We are blessed with a great facility.

We are thanking and praising the Lord for each of you as He leads us forward. Grateful for all that He is doing during this strange season in our church, city, country and world. We are looking forward to the day we look back on this time and celebrate all the Lord is doing in His Church.

Because of Christ,

Pastors Bob and John
