FBC Update – 3.20.20

Hey Church,

Paul encourages us in the book of Philippians with “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4–7

How appropriate for “such a time as this”. We are praying for FBC in this way, that our rejoicing is in the Lord, our reasonableness is known, we are aware of His nearness and that the Lord’s peace guards our hearts through this time.

In caring for our community, we have canceled all activities here at FBC. There will be no Sunday Service March 22nd and 29th. As virus/disease information becomes available, we will reevaluate our current cancelation schedule and provide an update by April 2nd.

All Church activities are canceled: No Sunday Services, No Bible Studies on campus, No Small Group Gatherings, No Wednesday night activities, No Mom’s Morning Out.

It is our goal at this time that we, as a local body, minister to one another and our community with the simple sacrifice of staying apart. We can stay together by phone, email/text, social media, as well as simply checking in on each other and our neighbors. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to grow closer together as we spend time apart.

We also encourage you to join us on YouTube for the weekly messages. This week, we will have the next sermon in our “Grace that is Greater” series from the book of Romans. We hope to add some songs of worship in the near future. The links will be posted in a follow-up email and other locations as we make FBC’s presence online greater.

Giving is also encouraged. We pray you joyfully give as normal to meet the needs of our local church, ministries, and missions. There are three ways you can give:

  1. Online at https://www.fbcwashmo.com/cpt_news/online-giving-now-available/
  2. Mail offerings to:

                FBC Washington

                111 East 14th St.

                Washington, MO 63090

  1. Drop offerings at the church office

The church office is open Monday through Wednesday and Friday 8-4 and you can reach us at 636.239.6209.
